Envision, create, and believe in your own universe, and the universe will form around you. — Tony Hsieh
Whether one's goal is to land an acting role or shoot a short film, the filmmaking industry is extremely competitive. It might take years and years for people to get recognition for their talent. While many individuals struggle and lose their hope, individuals such as Tayyab Madni fight through every difficulty, striving for the best. Tayyab's journey in this industry is inspiring and proves that one can succeed in this creative hub. The Australian writer, director, and producer knows his craft well and various methods to execute it. As someone who truly understands the power of films and their influence on people, Madni is making strides with his remarkable film production company, Picture Works Australia, launched in 2017.
It is hard work, sweat, and tears that have now opened a door for new opportunities, something Tayyab Rizwan Madni is quite aware of. As the CEO of Picture Works Australia, Tayyab believes that success does not come easy. The 1997 University of Western Sydney graduate struggled greatly after getting his degree in Hospitality Management, but he never let life get the best of him. This bilingual Australian producer is a firm believer of the fact that having a strong vision and trust in self that gets one to places. Following this ideology, Tayyab started exploring the magical film industry and began writing scripts and signing up for acting projects. After receiving appreciation for his first-ever script, Tayyab's confidence increased significantly along with his interest in film production.
Being aware of the cut-throat competition in the filming world, Madni wanted to do something different and revolutionary. It was then when the producer decided to start his career journey by investing heavily in understanding the film production, sales, distribution, and film market. Madni's strategy was different. It focused on understanding the overall aspect of film production rather than walking in without a plan. By focusing on building an in-depth understanding of filmmaking and production, he also learned a great deal about the filming industry and realized that every successful filming project needs stable funds and time.
During that time, he met the producer Edward Pressman in LA through a close friend Pamela Godfrey. In the filming industry, it's all about learning from the best and getting inspiration to create magic on screen. Meeting the experienced producers surely allowed Madni to explore his talents to produce a groundbreaking movie called Man Who Knows Infinity. Based on an excellent 1911 British biographical book about the Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, the movie starring Jeremy Iron and Dev Patel surely gave Tayyab the recognition he deserved as an Associate Film Producer.
It was in 2017 when Madni finally realized that success was staring right at him. Ever since the launch of his production company, the producer has taken on small and big projects ranging between 5M to 20M, ready to revolutionize the filming industry. In the same year, the production house worked on Yaman, a heartfelt film about unrequited love. Based on an Indian couple starring Sayani Gupta, Priyanshu Painyuli, and Vipin Sharma, the movie reflects the realities of a relationship that many films fail to represent. In 2019, the remarkable movie also won the 'Best Music Award' during the LGBT Feedback Film Festival in Los Angeles.
One of the leading personalities that the production company has worked with happens to be the co-writer and director of Happy feet, Warren Coleman. Tayyab believes that a good film producer recruits a strong team that acts as its backbone. And that's one reason why he has formed a team that has received several global awards, such as the British Academy Film Awards(BAFTA), The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts Award(AACTA), NYCF, Oscar, and the Golden Globes.
With an experience of almost fifteen years, the film producer is ready to take over the filming industry, changing the course of history with new projects on the way. Envisioning change and having a strong desire to become successful can help in shaping one's success. Tayyab has surely instilled his vision in his film production company, aiming to charge emotions and create a lasting effect on the audience.
